Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Nothing in this Return Policy limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). The CGA gives you statutory guarantees that goods will be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. If our goods fail to meet these guarantees, you have rights including repair, replacement, or refund. Our voluntary return process below is in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under the CGA.
Our Commitment
At Designerdesigner, we take pride in our handmade accessories and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes items may need to be returned, and we've made our process as simple as possible.
Return Eligibility
You may return items purchased from designerdesigner under the following conditions:
- Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt
- Items must be unworn, unused, and in original condition
- Items must include all original packaging and accessories
- Proof of purchase is required (order confirmation or receipt)
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Custom or personalized accessories made to your specifications
- Items that have been worn, altered, or damaged after receipt
- Earrings for hygiene reasons
- Sale or clearance items marked as final sale
- Items returned after the 14-day return window
How to Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact us at assist@designerdesigner.world or call +64 9 354 3115 to request a return authorization
- Provide your order number and reason for return
- We will provide return instructions and address
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging
- Ship the item to our Parnell workshop or drop off in person
Return Shipping
For standard returns:
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- We recommend using a tracked shipping service
- We are not responsible for items lost in return transit
For defective or incorrect items:
- We will provide a prepaid return label
- Please contact us before shipping
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- We will notify you of the return status within 3 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method
- Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange an item for a different size or design:
- Contact us to check availability of the desired item
- Return the original item following our return process
- Once received, we will ship the exchange item
- Price differences will be charged or refunded accordingly
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photos of the damage
- Do not attempt to repair the item yourself
- We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost
Repairs
For items that need repair after the return period:
- We offer repair services for pieces purchased from Designerdesigner
- Contact us to discuss the repair needed
- Minor repairs may be complimentary; larger repairs will be quoted
